Inspired by live broadcasts of theatre from The Golden Age of Television, this project had many coordinated logistical and technical details squeezed into a short time frame. Each live show needed to be ready for the air in three hours, regardless of how prepared it was, because that was the block of time allotted each month by the public access station. On the day of the show, the crew arrived up before the actors and prepared the studio and control room. Episodes varied in complexity, and regardless of that, we had to fit in a technical rehearsal for lighting, sound, and camera placement.
